As a member of a network hardware manufacturing company, Coble has specialized in module plugs for over 30 years. We understand that performance requirements are increasingly crucial. Unfortunately, there is currently no performance certificate specifically designed for module plugs. All performance testing standards have been developed for patch cords or patch channels. This means they assess the entire cable assembly, including the cable and the plug, not just the plug itself.

In Coble's experience, it's regrettable to say that the most critical factor affecting performance is the quality of the cable. While Coble can classify plug performance categories through network analysis, it's important to note that this classification is also dependent on the overall quality of the cable assembly. While our plugs can generally meet the requirements of each category, we cannot guarantee it, as, once again, the primary determinant is the quality of the cable itself.

Coble hopes that, in the future, industry standards for evaluating plug performance independently will be established within the network industry. For now, the most effective way to ensure that your specific high-performance requirements are met is to either send us your cables for testing or request multiple samples for evaluation.
